The brief for this project is to maximise the potential of the plot by removing the existing two‑bedroom bungalow and replacing it with a contemporary four‑bedroom detached dwelling. The proposal responds directly to the surrounding context. By replacing a single‑storey structure with a sensitively designed two‑storey home, the development aligns more closely with the prevailing scale and form of neighbouring properties. This approach not only enhances the coherence of the streetscape but also makes more efficient use of the site in line with local housing needs. The new dwelling has been designed to sit comfortably within its setting, with careful attention given to massing, proportions, and architectural language. The aim is to deliver a high‑quality family home that contributes positively to the character of Lynmouth Crescent while optimising the site’s capacity.
