Milton Keynes

Roche Gardens, Bletchley
The project involves designing a four‑bedroom detached home within the unused garden space of an existing residential property. The site occupies a prominent corner position at a road junction, creating both an opportunity and a constraint: the new dwelling must maximise the development potential of the plot while maintaining sensitivity to the surrounding neighbourhood.
Key considerations include respecting the established street character, managing sightlines at the corner, ensuring privacy for both the existing and proposed dwellings, and creating a high‑quality contemporary home that integrates comfortably into its context. The design should respond to the site’s visibility and exposure, using form, massing, and landscaping to minimise visual impact while still achieving an efficient and attractive layout.
